Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (MULTIPLAYER WORKS)

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was released on November 5, 2007. The story is split into two parts: one where you play as a U.S. Marine fighting in the Middle East, and one where you play as a British commando fighting in the Second Russian Civil War. The game will run on all tablets at lowest settings and a low resolution. Multiplayer does work on this game.

Left 4 Dead (MULTIPLAYER WORKS)

Left 4 Dead was released on November 17, 2008. In Left 4 Dead you play as one of four available characters and you fight either alongside other human players or AI controlled bots against a horde of zombies. The game should run well on all school tablets at lowest settings and a low resolution.

DOOM 3
|
DOOM 3 was released on August 3rd, 2004. Your goal is to successfully go through the level, killing a variety of demons and monsters that will try and kill you. At your disposal consists of various firearms. Game should run on all school tablets.

Counter Strike Source (MULTIPLAYER WORKS)

Counter Strike Source was released on November 1, 2004. Counter Strike features two modes: Search and Destroy and Hostage Rescue. The game can be won through successfully planting the bomb or preventing it, rescuing the hostages or failing to do so, or simply eliminating the enemy team. The game should run on all tablets at lowest settings and a low resolution, though Lenovo tablets will run this better.

Battlefield 2

Battlefield 2 was released on June 21, 2005. In Battlefield, you play as either an American soldier or a Chinese/Pakistani soldier fighting for control of a large area, with vehicles and other equipment at their disposal such as tanks, aircraft, and boats. This game should run on school tablets at lowest settings and a low resolution.

Killing Floor (MULTIPLAYER WORKS)

Killing Floor was released first as a mod in 2005, and then fully released as a stand alone title in May 14, 2009. You play as a special operative in the U.K. where you fight off waves and waves of zombies either alone or with others, before it ends with a boss. Multiplayer works on this game. Game should be playable at lowest settings and a low resolution.

Half Life Series

Half Life 1 was released on November 19, 1998, and Half Life 2 was released on November 16, 2004. In the first game you control Gordon Freeman, a physicist at the Black Mesa Research Facility. He eventually becomes one of the few survivors there after a failed experiment results in other-dimension hostile aliens entering the facility. Half Life 2 takes place a few years later, where you still play as Gordon Freeman in a Earth conquered and subjugated by an alien empire. Half-Life 1 can easily be ran on all tablets, and Half-Life 2 will run at low settings and a low resolution.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was released on November 10, 2009. You control four different characters: a Special Forces commando, two U.S. Army Rangers, and a veteran international commando, and the plot goes over mainly a war between the U.S. and Russia. Game should run on the Lenovo tablet at lowest settings and a low resolution, but will struggle a bit more on the grey Acer tablets.

Portal Series
|
Portal 1 was released on October 10, 2007, and Portal 2 was April 19, 2011. In the Portal series, you solve puzzles and problems and escape to new areas through the use of portals, which are opened with the portal gun. Both games should run well at lowest settings and a decent resolution, but Portal 2 will be a bit more harder on the Acer tablet. Watch this video for Portal 2 to get a performance boost.

Far Cry 1
|
Far Cry 1 was released on March 23, 2004. In Far Cry 1, you search for a journalist you were escorting on a remote uncharted island, while fighting against mercenaries. Game will run very well on all tablets.

In MW3, you mainly play as two characters: a Delta Force operative and an ex-Spetsnaz commando, as you fight to repel the Russian invasion of Europe and to kill their leaders. The game will run fine on black Lenovo tablet at lowest settings and a low resolution, but the Acer will struggle.

Bioshock

Bioshock was released on August 21, 2007. You play as a man that stumbles upon the underwater city of Rapture, where you are guided to fight and survive against the city's inhabitants, who have gone insane. The game will run on the Lenovo tablet at low settings and a low resolution, but it may not run on the Acer.

Wolfenstein (2009)

Wolfenstein was released on August 18, 2009. You play as an Allied special agent during World War II, where you attempt to prevent the Germans from accessing rare crystals that would allow them to access another dimension and gain an edge in the war. Game should run on the black tablet at lowest settings and a low resolution, but may not start on Acer tablets.

Call of Duty 2 was released on October 25, 2005. You play as a U.S. soldier, a Soviet soldier, a British soldier, and a British tank commander in various battles during WWII. Game should be playable on Acer and Lenovo tablets.

Quake 3

Quake 3 was released on December 2, 1999. You play as a warrior in an arena, where you fight through tiers of maps, combating enemy bots that increase in difficulty as you progress through tiers. Game is very old, so it will very smoothly on any school tablet.

Starship Troopers

Starship Troopers was released on October 27, 2005. You play as a Space Marine who is sent alongside hundreds of other Marines to planets to liberate them from alien monsters/bugs. Game should play smoothly on all school tablets.

Call of Duty: Black Ops

Call of Duty Black Ops was released on November 9, 2010. You mainly play as a SOG operative during the Cold War who's brainwashed by the Soviets, and must fight through the brainwashing to eliminate Soviet officials and to prevent a chemical attack on the U.S. and World War III. Game will run on Black tablets at lowest settings and a low resolution, but will not run on Acer tablets.

You play as a U.S. soldier during the Second Russo-American War, where you fight against Russian forces and Russian backed Latin American Militias, while defending against the Russian invasion of North America. Call of Duty (MULTIPLAYER MIGHT WORK)

Call of Duty was released on October 29, 2003. You play as a soldier from three Allied nations during WWII: The USSR, the British Empire, and the United States. The game will be playable on both Lenovo and Acer tablets; if you suffer from stuttering issues in the game, turn on Sync Every Frame in the options. Multiplayer may work on this game, but I have not tested it.

Ravenfield (Build 15)
|
Ravenfield was released on May 18, 2017. You take control of either a blue or red soldier, and based off what game mode you play, you either have to hold and control points across the map, eliminate the enemy team until they can no longer respawn, go in stealthy with a small team to eliminate all hostiles undetected, or play in a zombie-like mode where you and a team fend off waves of skeletons armed with swords and muskets. It will run fine on Lenovo tablets at low settings and a low resolution, but putting the number of bots at a higher number will reduce FPS. Acer tablets will run the game, though the frame rate will not be smooth regardless of settings.
Ravenfield does have mod support. If you wish to download a mod pack for Ravenfield, go ahead and download it below. To install the mods, go into either the 64-bit or 32-bit folders (if on Lenovo, go into 64-bit. If on 32-bit, go on Acer.), go into the ravenfield_data folder, and create a new folder called Mods. Extract the mod pack, and select all the mods inside the extracted folder and place them into the Mods folder you created. 4/12/19: Ravenfield updated. New features to the game, such as new maps. 5/8/19: Ravenfield updated. Improvements to AI and new designs for the tank. |
SWAT 4 (MULTIPLAYER WORKS)

SWAT 4 was released on April 5, 2005. You play as a SWAT commander in charge of a squad, and you play through missions in the campaign responding to deadly situations such as robbery's and terrorist attacks, though you must abide by the Rules of Engagement. For example, you cannot shoot a fleeing suspect, you must attempt to arrest him/her first. If the suspect does not comply with your commands and attempts to kill you, then you are allowed to kill the suspect. Multiplayer does work in this game. Game will run very nice on both Acer and Lenovo laptops.

Left 4 Dead 2
|
Left 4 Dead 2 was released on November 17, 2009. Gameplay is similar to the first game, only with new content such as new types of Infected and new weapons to use, as well as improved AI and locations. Game should run on Lenovo tablets, but Acer tablets may struggle to get a smooth performance.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein

Return to Castle Wolfenstein was released on November 19, 2001. You play as the same Allied operative from Wolfenstein 2009, this time you have to stop the Nazis from unleashing superweapons and the undead into the war. Game is older then most titles here, so it should be easier to run on both Acer and Lenovo tablets.

Halo 2

Halo 2 was released on November 9, 2004. You play as an elite supersoldier fighting for humanity against a genocidal alien threat. Game should run on all tablets at low settings and a low resolution.

Far Cry 2
|
Far Cry 2 was released on October 21, 2008. The game takes place in 2008, in a failed Central African state embroiled in a civil war between two factions, and based on chance you are hired to fight for either faction. Game should be playable on Acer and Lenovo tablets at low settings and lowest resolution.

Borderlands GOTY Edition

Borderlands was released on October 20, 2009. It is a open world first person shooter, integrating roleplaying elements. You play as a mercenary on the fictional planet of Pandora, where you follow the legend of a vault filled with vast amounts of alien technology and fortunes, while helping the local population against bandits and dangerous wildlife. The game is playable on black tablets at lowest settings and low resolution. Acer tablets may be able to play it after watching this video.

STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl

STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl was released on March 20, 2007. The game is set years after a second disaster in the Ukrainian city of Chernobyl mutates its inhabitants after a failed attempt at repopulating the city. You play as a Stalker, people who have come to the city in search of valuables and information. The game will run on Acer and Lenovo tablets.

Payday: The Heist

Payday: The Heist was released on October 18, 2011. You and either four other players or AI complete a series of objectives, usually either kidnapping a certain target, or stealing an object or performing a bank heist. Players must complete these objectives using the firearms at their disposal. Game will be playable on Lenovo tablets at low settings and lowest resolution. Acer tablets may be able to run the game if they use Hialgo Boost and follow my performance tweaks.

F.E.A.R Platinum Edition

F.E.A.R Platinum was released on October 17, 2005. You play as an operative of a fictional special forces unit that responds to supernatural threats called F.E.A.R-First Encounter Assault Recon-who possesses superhuman reflexes, and must uncover the secret of a paranormal menace. The game will run well on all school tablets.

Medal of Honor: Allied Assault

Medal of Honor: Allied Assault was released on January 22, 2002. You play as a U.S. Army Ranger during the mid-final years of World War II, and partake in missions assaulting Axis bases in Africa and Norway, and even in the famous D-Day landings at Omaha Beach. Game will be easy to run on all school tablets.
The game will glitch out when you try to start playing the campaign. To fix this, just go to Options, then Video, then switch the resolution to 1024x768. |
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare was released on October 16, 2012. The fictional nation of Agatha is embroiled in civil war between two factions-the Agatha Knights and the Mason Order-and the player may choose their side in various battles. The game is playable on Lenovo tablets if they lower their settings and resolution, and watch this video on tweaking the config files, though Acers may not have a smooth experience.
